Jean est aussi grand que moi. John is as tall as I.
Jean est plus grand que moi. John is taller than I.
Jean est moins grand que moi. John is less tall than I.
Jean n'est pas si (aussi) grand que moi. John is not so (as) tall as I.
Il est le plus grand de tous mes frères. He is the tallest of all my brothers.
Il est l'élève le plus diligent de la classe. He is the most diligent pupil in the class.
J'ai plus (moins) de crayons que vous. I have more (fewer) pencils than you.
Il y a plus (moins) de dix personnes ici. There are more (less) than ten people here.
Jean parle bien, Edmond parle mieux, mais Marie parle le mieux de tous. John talks well, Edmund talks better, but Mary talks the best of all.
